Memorial Day Is the Holiday for Drivers

Happy driving weekend.
Memorial Day is the opening of the summer travel season and this year the roads are expected to be just a little bit busier, according to the AAA.

Even if too many people are still planning to work or fretting about gas prices, which are at least going down a bit, there is plenty to see and do. If we had the time, we'd be heading out on one of these driving trips.

If you decide not to drive down the shore or to the mountains for some spring skiing, you can always stay home and watch the Indy 500, the Coca-Cola 500, the Monaco Grand Prix or AMA sport bike racing.

As for me, I'll be doing a few day trips and giving the new GTI it's first real test.
